Function Note:
Our client is presently looking for an Intermediate Accountant to join their finance team.   Reporting directly to the Controller, the successful candidate would be offered the opportunity to develop their accounting skills in a dynamic growing organization in a specialized retail chain.

 

Educational Requirements:

  • College diploma or University degree, major in Accounting or Finance
  • Enrolled in 2nd or 3rd level CMA or CGA

 

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting roles (mostly in bank reconciliation, accounts payable, payroll processing, and assisting in month end process); strong MS Office & excellent reconciliation skills is a must
  • Experience using recognized accounting software; Microsoft Dynamics GP (formerly Great Plain) experience a plus (or AccPac equivalent)
  • Personal initiative driven; deadline focused; doing what it takes
  • Demonstrated experience developing & documenting accounting function processes
  • Competence & confidence dealing with both internal & external customers; great interpersonal skills
  • Contribute to improving the quality of information flow throughout the company
