Function Note:

Manage all the central sourcing activities for all tooling, capital and press equipment working closely with vendors and Process Engineering for this automotive related firm.   Create and maintain Approved Supplier List for Capital Categories.   Manage all procurement and equipment documentation.   Send Capital RFQ to potential suppliers and negotiate pricing.   Manage SAP P.O.'s, Contract protocol, PPSO procedure, support CAPEX and cash out reporting.   Participate in negotiating Rebate Agreements with suppliers and maintain tracking of both.   Develop Supplier Scorecard and communicate performance to suppliers annually.   Develop Capital Category Strategy and update to tooling and capital global team.   

Requirement Note:

Successfull candidate will bring 3 - 5 years experience from with the automotive industry, specifically with negotiating and sourcing robotics, welding, tooling, fixtures and press equipment. Able to analyze machine costs and generate target pricing for negotiation (quote analysis).   Must be able to travel to various Company sites internationally.   Experience in mig, spot, laser welding and joining technologies ideal.   An understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance and IATF 16949/ ISO 14001 requirements.   Good understanding of supplier cost factors related to equipment and related tooling.    A technical background with Automation equipment in any of the following roles:   Process Engineer, Account Manager, Project Coordinator, purchasing specific process equipment and/or press equipment.   Good computer skills in SAP, CDB, Jaegar, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.   Supply Chain Management designation with relevant technical experience.   A university degree or college diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent job experience.
