Function Note:

Returning client is looking for a Demand Planner for their manufacturing facility.   We need an energetic Demand Planner with a growth mindset and a 'can do' attitude.   Work to improve the accuracy and reliability of the demand plan, through projection of the most realistic estimate of customer demand within the Monthly Business Planning framework.   Apply analytical techniques, to develop tactical and operational consensus demand forecasts.   Manage forecasting and demand planning for assigned market segments at an item/warehouse level.   Plan over a 18 - 24 month rolling horizon.   Lead monthly Business Review/Sales Input meeting with Sales.   Present forecast rollups including assumptions, risks, and opportunities.   Monitor demand and analyze forecast exceptions; root cause to identify errors and take necessary corrective actions to drive continuous improvement in forecast accuracy and bias performance.   Create Demand Plans for Long Term Capacity Planning (LTCP) and annual budget for the market segment assigned.


Partner with Sales and Innovation to develop new product initiative forecasts.   Track and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).

Requirement Note:

Ideal candidate brings a university degree or college diploma in Supply Chain, Engineering, statistics, mathematics, or other related fields.   Minimum of 3 years experience in Demand Planning.   Strong understanding of MRP concepts and processes.   Strong analytical and decision making skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities.   In depth knowledge of demand forecasting, statistical modeling techniques and inputs.   Advanced Microsoft skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.   APICS certification is a plus.   Lean or Six Sigma training is considered an asset.
