A fast growing and unique firm in the Windsor, Ontario area requires a Procurement Director. Be responsible for the management, development and execution of the firm's supply chain strategies and ongoing continuous improvement. Be involved with global procurement, supplier negotiations, contract development, inventory management, as well as cost saving initiatives.
Work with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, project managers, finance and estimating. Review and manage procurement activities to meet goals as well as evaluate new and existing vendors to meet company objectives. Build business relationships and negotiate contracts to address: legal, risk management, finance terms, quality, etc.
Contribute to an enhanced corporate culture by building trust, teamwork and opportunities for innovation and improvement. Review and evaluate change notices, change directives, and potential claims, ensuring consistency, due diligence and approach throughout all project lifecycles.
Monitor operational, project and logistics expenses and provide recommendations to reduce costs. Participate in all bidding activities where applicable, appropriate collaboration with the estimating team.
Provide hands on day to day supervision, coaching and support to direct reports.
Collect, monitor, and analyze procurement data and metrics to provide ongoing control and recommendations for improvement, cost savings, and management of risk.
