The Tool Crib Attendant will:

Receive, store and disburse a variety of tools and materials to support maintenance operations
-
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for receiving, storing and issuing tools, measuring devices, support equipment, materials and supplies in support of local and deployed maintenance activities.

In conjunction with the VMF supervisor, set-up of the tool and support equipment room to include, development of tool and support equipment room design layout/implementation, tool and support equipment tracking methods.

Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear, visually or using micrometer and reports damage or wear to supervisor.

Repairs, services and lubricates tools and equipment, using hand tools.

Marks and identifies tools and equipment, using identification tag, stamp or electric marking tools.

Locates lost or misplaced tools and equipment.

Prepares periodic inventory inspection and maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment, using a computer or manually.
- Responsible for general housekeeping and FOD control of assigned work area.

Requirement Note:
|
· High School diploma or equivalent required.
· Valid Driver’s License is required.
· Two or more years progressive experience issuing, maintaining and monitoring tools is preferred
· Must be customer focused and familiar with office and inventory/stock control software.
· Mechanical skills to maintain tools in safe operating condition.
US citizenship is required.
