Function Note:

Join this North America wide leader and be responsible for all aspects of the commodity category including supplier knowledge (indepth supplier interactions, contracts and management), market insights (conditions that affect supply and pricing), to the overall administration and management of specific categories and groupings.   Be the primary source for knowledge of projects related to your category and internally serve as a value adding resource for stakeholders who interact with this category.   Help develop additional value streams within this category.   Manage category programs across the company, ensuring that programs are implemented and managed correctly.   Ensure that your program is compliant with various saving tracking tools.   Work with acquisitions to ensure that needs are met to integrate them into proper programs, and support Fleet Maintenance Staff on implementing programs.   Oversee proper administration and processes are streamlined and strive to create and develop new processes to improve supply chain and field interaction.   Help raise the profile of the Procurement function across the business through active engagement with Stakeholders.   



Requirement Note:

Ideal candidate has 5 + years of procurement/category management experience.   Project management experience with an ability to move in an interesting and fast developing environment with the adaptability to change with the conditions.   Excellent strategic sourcing skills - proficient in all aspects of the Strategic Sourcing Cycle.   Experience in a decentralized multi - site environment. Good negotiation skills.   Ability with PowerPoint documents and presentations.   Use of SQL to pull reports.   Ideally those from a broad range of category experience such as:   diesel and other fuels, tires, lubricants, truck parts, fleet management, logistics, etc.   Once COVID concerns are eliminated, and ability to travel from time to time in Canada and U.S..
